After crocheting two-thirds of the piece. choose 1 side as the face, screw the eye into the stitch hole between rounds 5-6, or another suitable position.
Skip 6 stitches between the two eyes or whatever spacing you want. Set the other eye.

Turn the piece over to reveal the back of the eyes.

Press the washers to secure the eyes.
